DCist Exposed?

Posted by on Jan 6, 2010 in News, Photos

For the third year in a row, I have submitted photos for the DCist Exposed Photography Show. It’s been a great show for the last two years that I’ve attended and I’ll be there again this year even if my work isn’t. I’m happier than ever with my selections, which you may recognize from the blog or among my art collections. Not coincidentally, this is also the first year that I’ve tried to do this photography thing professionally. None of these photos came from paid jobs, but I believe my new focus has helped me to develop my skill and vision.

There is no public voting for this show, but I’m sure thinking a few positive thoughts wouldn’t hurt. You may also want to click one of the photos to see them along side their impressive competition.

These are all awesome, but I especially love how the cloud streaks in the Washington Monument one look like they are headed toward the vanishing point.

Thanks! Luckily everything just kind of worked together for that shot, luck playing a huge role in many successful shots frankly. I’m not sure it would work if it had dramatic clouds like the Wharf photo above it.
